Al-Bayhaqi on Being Merciful to the Creation in General

Al-Bayhaqi records in his book Al-Adab, the Chapter on Mercy for the Creation:
Chapter on Being Merciful to the creation

Abu Huraira reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say:

Allah made mercy into one hundred parts, and He has kept ninety-nine parts with himself, and He sent to the creation one part. Because of that one part, the creation has mercy as even the animal lifts its hoof from its young for fear of harming it.

[Sahih Bukhari, Book 73, Number 29]

Jubair ibn Abdullah reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say:

Allah does not have mercy upon whoever is not merciful with people.

[Sahih Bukhari, Book 93, Number 473]

Jubair ibn Abdullah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Whoever is not merciful with people, then Allah is not merciful with him.

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book 25, Number 1922, Sahih]

Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

The people of mercy will receive mercy from the Most Merciful. Be merciful with those on the earth, and the One above heaven will have mercy upon you.

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book 25, Number 1924, Sahih]

Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

The believers in their mercy, love, and closeness to each other are like a body. If one part of the body is harmed, the whole body responds with fever and sleeplessness.

[Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Number 6258]

Abu Huraira reported: I heard the Truthful, the Believed, the Companion of this grave, Abu Al-Qasim (the Prophet), peace and blessings be upon him, say:

Mercy is not removed except from one who is damned.

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book 25, Number 1924]
