Al-Bayhaqi on Loving for People What You Love for Yourself of Goodness

Al-Bayhaqi recorded in his book Al-Adab, Chapter on Love for one’s Brother:
Chapter: None of you have faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

None of you have faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.

[Sahih Bukhari, Book 2, Number 15]

Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Whoever loves to avoid Hell and enter Paradise, then let death overtake him while he has faith in Allah and the Last Day, and he treats the people they way he loves to be treated.

[ٍSahih Muslim, Book 20, Number 4546]

Abu Al-Mughirah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, inform me of a deed that will bring me closer to Paradise and distance me from Hellfire.” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Establish prayer, give charity, perform pilgrimage to the House, fast the month of Ramadan, and love for people what you would love to come to yourself, and hate for people what you would hate to come to yourself.

[Musnad Ahmad, Number 15453]
