Hadith on Humility: The Prophet disliked for people to stand upon his arrival


Anas ibn Malik reported: There was no person more beloved to the companions than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. When they saw him coming, they would not stand up because they
knew he disliked that.

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book of Manners, Number 2754, Sahih]

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَخْصٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَكَانُوا إِذَا رَأَوْهُ لَمْ يَقُومُوا لِمَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِنْ كَرَاهِيَتِهِ لِذَلِكَ

2754 سنن الترمذي كِتَاب الْأَدَبِ بَاب مَا جَاءَ فِي كَرَاهِيَةِ قِيَامِ الرَّجُلِ لِلرَّجُلِ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ
